I’m going into high school this fall. I know AWESOME right- no HARD is more the right adjective. Well okay maybe not THAT hard but somewhat hard.
So I’m in Pre-AP english, well maybe. The summer assignment for incoming freshmans is due on the first day of school. We have to read the book Of Mice and Men, initially I was like YES this book is SO short it’ll take like two minutes, yes, yes it is short BUT we have a lot of other stuff to do first. We have to write three essays on the book about things like the theme. We have to take a lot of notes, highlight many things, infer why the book is called Of Mice and Men and then after reading it conclude as to why it is called said name, make a poster….etc. So I don’t like that, I know a lot of other people have to do things like that too and I may seem like a whiny little kid but this is a blog so I’m going to seem however I want lol.
I’m also in marching band. Front Ensmeble actually that’s where the non-drumline percussionists (and the ocassional double-reeders) are. Percussion, and yes this isn’t exactly the correct way to explain but whatever, is all the instruments you play by either hitting it with your hand and/or stick/mallet OR shake. That means drums, tamborine, triangle, xylophone, marimba, shakers, rainstick,… must I go on? So yeah we have summer camp, and it’s killing me lol. We have it for twelve hours (we call them our 8 to 8’s)! That means 12 hours a day, 4 days a week, for the rest of my summer! I know it’s hard but I love it, except for the pilates they make us do, oh I HATE that. Whoever said pilates was fun is just weird. I mean the name sounds fun doesn’t it? I don’t know I’m bored. I miss my camera. :(
